Come join the group of roller bladers each Saturday morning at 10:30am just north of the Huntington Beach Pier at the Pier Plaza amphitheater for a 16 mile round trip skate from Huntington to Newport Beach. It's at a nice and easy pace and all ages and levels are welcome - bicyclists can join in on the fun too! Join the group afterward for lunch in Huntington Beach.

Shipley Nature Center - Restoration Days
The Friends of Shipley Nature Center invite the public to participate in planting, weeding, birding, walking, and other nature related activities the first Saturday of each month. The public is free to also take a tour of the Shipley grounds which begins at 11:00am. A docent will be available to answer questions and give descriptions of the Center's planned restoration to historical native plant habitat with the addition of water conservation gardens.

Huntington Beach Surf Series features professional surfers competing for prize money. This competition is US Surfing Federation sanctioned and is owned and operated by world-class surf champion, Jeff Deffenbaugh and his brother Barry. The Huntington Beach Art Center presents a new exhibition opening in the main galleries, entitled, Ground Us. The exhibition features new installations by three artists: Kiel Johnson, Lucrecia Troncoso and P. Williams.
Collectively, the artists explore and investigate the sprawling environment and the constant development of concrete encroaching on our natural space. The use of everyday materials such as cardboard, wood, paper and sponges are used in the creation of the artists’ ideal utopias. Three large scale site-specific installations will amuse, engage and imagine a new and improved world.
